Write a mixed-group music scene
A mixed-group story can revolve around how people work together rather than a single lead character. Start with a collaboration that requires more than one perspective and decide where your character fits.

Give the collaboration a reason to happen
The characters might be preparing a joint arrangement, sharing a rehearsal space, or deciding how to combine two different writing styles. Explain what is already agreed and which choice remains unresolved.
Introduce the cast gradually. Address one person, describe their response, and make space for another character when the decision affects them.
Distinguish personality from group role
A singer, arranger, or coordinator can still be reserved, impatient, or quietly funny. Write behavior and motives into the background instead of relying on the professional label to define the character.
For an original group, establish how the adults met and what they each want from the project. For performer-inspired fiction, keep invented rehearsals and relationships separate from claims about real people.
