Create a character

Adjust your PolyBuzz settings

We keep account controls, character profiles, and conversation choices separate. Start with what you want to change: the interface you use, the character you created, or the way a particular conversation reads.

Contents

Check which account is open

Before changing account information, compare the account and sign-in method with the device where your conversations or purchases are available. A display name is not enough to distinguish two accounts.

Our terms describe account deletion under Setting, Account, then Delete. Use that control only when you intend to close the account. Signing out, reinstalling the app, restarting a conversation, and deleting an account have different consequences. Review subscriptions before confirming deletion.

Choose interface and reply languages separately

The language option under Me changes the interface where that option is available. It does not necessarily rewrite an existing character greeting or change every future reply.

For the conversation itself, ask directly: Please continue in Spanish, keep the character names unchanged, and use short replies. If you want to practice a language, say whether corrections should appear after each reply or only when you ask. Keep the profile's fictional names and the language instruction separate.

Edit the character, not your own role

A character's Intro describes them before a conversation opens. The Greeting begins the scene. Background and dialogue-style details influence how that character is written; your persona describes who you are playing.

For a character you create, Public permission allows discovery on Home and in search. Private permission restricts other people's access to that character. It does not cancel a subscription or change the privacy rules for other information in your account. Review the avatar, greeting, background, tags, and permission together before publishing a change.

Change one conversation choice at a time

When adjusting the model, read its current access description before confirming. A model choice, voice option, and content preference are different controls. Some actions can require coins or membership access even when the character itself is available to browse.

If a Pure Mode or sensitive-content control appears in your version, follow the explanation beside it. Display preferences do not remove community rules or age requirements. If an expected control is missing, send us the device, app or browser version, selected account, and the exact label you are looking for. Remove private conversation details from screenshots.

Questions

Will changing the interface language translate my character?

The interface language and the language of a character's replies are separate. Ask for the reply language in the conversation and review any greeting you wrote yourself.

Does a private character setting hide everything in my account?

No. Private permission controls access to that character. Account information, conversation data, and public comments have separate visibility and data-handling rules.

Should I delete my account to reset a chat preference?

No. Account deletion is irreversible and is not a way to change a model, language, or character field. Check the relevant control and contact us if it is not working.
