Explore a cinema-inspired conversation
Our Palme d'Or-themed collection takes cinema as a starting point for character fiction. You might imagine a conversation after a screening, a rehearsal that changes direction, or an interview with an original filmmaker.
Contents

Begin after the screening
Give the conversation a particular disagreement: an ending one person misunderstood, a scene that was removed, or a question left unanswered. Let each character have a reason for seeing the film differently.
For an original production, describe the film's premise in a few lines. The character can discuss that invented work without claiming to reveal the intentions of a real director.
Ask about a choice inside the fiction
An imagined interview works better with a concrete question than a general request for a career story. Ask why a character kept one detail, abandoned a scene, or chose a quieter final exchange.
The collection is a fictional setting, not an awards database or a source of current festival results. Keep real credits and historical claims separate from the story you are writing, and use your own cast when you want complete freedom over the premise.
